메사추세츠 공과대학(MIT) 열대성 질환(NTD) 치료 관련 오픈 이노베이션풀 참여

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) today became the first academic institution to contribute intellectual property to the Pool for Open Innovation against Neglected Tropical Diseases MIT joins GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc in contributing patents to the pool, which is administered by BIO Ventures for Global Health (BVGH).

메사추세츠 공과 대학에서 교육기관 최초로 소외 열대성 질환 약품 개발을 위한 오픈 이노베이션 풀에 지적 재산을 공헌하기로 했다.

이 풀은 미국 식약청(FDA)에서 정의한 개발도상국가의 16가지 소외 열대성 질환의 신약 개발을 위한 효율적인 지적 재산 활용을 위하여 마련된 것으로, BVGH(BIO Ventures for Global Health)가 운영하고 있으며, GSK와 Alnylam에 이어 MIT가 참여하게 되었다.
